Toddlers

Toddlers: 1.5 to 2.9 years old

Our curriculum follows the Massachusetts Early Learning Guidelines for infants and toddlers. In this stage, toddlers become aware of themselves and their surroundings. Their desire to explore new objects and people is also increasing. This is an essential time to work on their social skills that will impact daily life. For example, at this age they begin to understand the concept of ‘mine’ and ‘yours.’

In our program, toddlers thrive through learning experiences such as:

  • Hands-on activities such as arts and crafts
  • Musical experiences
  • Storytelling
  • Science and math exploration
  • Gross and fine motor activities
  • Learning how to cooperate, take turns and wait patiently
  • Working on patterning, sorting objects, and counting numbers
  • Learning centers
  • Monthly themes focused on children’s needs
  • Reading books that promote principles and values like love, empathy, respect, teamwork, tolerance, patience, self-esteem, and socio-emotional development
  • Spanish language immersion
